Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Specialist for night shift at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington, NC. You will perform all respiratory care modalities, respond to emergencies, document thoroughly, and act as charge therapist when needed.

The role requires RRT credentials and NC licensing, with COARC-trained education background. Ability to manage ventilators, monitor patients of all ages, and work within department guidelines is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care from COARC approved program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required; NCRCB licensed.
• BCLS certification; at least 1 year clinical experience preferred.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and respiratory care modalities.

Responsibilities

• Administer oxygen and therapy per guidelines.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and monitor patients.
• Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation; document care.
• Respond to resuscitation and emergencies; assist intubations as needed.
• Operate monitoring equipment and maintain equipment readiness.
• Serve as charge therapist in supervisor's absence.
