Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System in Fayetteville, NC seeks a Respiratory Therapist to perform all aspects of respiratory care per department guidelines, respond to emergencies, document thoroughly, and serve as charge therapist when needed.

You will administer therapies, manage ventilators, provide airway support, and participate in resuscitations. Requires COARC program graduate, RRT, NCRCB license, and BCLS certification; clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a COARC approved Respiratory Care Program.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT) required.
• Licensed by the NCRCB required.
• BCLS certification by the American Heart Association required.
• Clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer oxygen and aerosol therapy per department guidelines.
• Perform intermittent therapy and diagnostic procedures per department guidelines.
• Access medications from Medication Security Area to support care per policies.
• Initiate and maintain mechanical ventilation and document appropriately.
• Provide airway management and assist in emergency resuscitation as needed.
• Perform intubations after receiving approval; act as charge therapist when necessary.
