Job summary

Houston Area Women's Center (HAWC) is seeking a Part‑Time Crisis Response Advocate in Houston, TX. You will provide crisis intervention, emotional support, danger assessment, safety planning, and referrals to survivors via hospital accompaniment, 24‑hour hotlines, and chat.

The role requires a 4‑year degree, two years in social services, and a flexible schedule with hybrid work. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; valid TX driver’s license and transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least two years’ experience in social services.
• English or Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention, emotional support, and information & referral.
• Coordinate hospital accompaniment and emergency transportation as needed.
• Conduct danger assessments and develop safety plans for survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
