Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a seasoned Construction Manager to lead data center and life science facility projects in Houston. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage budgets, and ensure timely delivery while leveraging our hybrid work policy.

Responsibilities include overseeing RFIs, submittals, changes in Unifier, and pay applications, with a focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience managing data center construction projects or Life Science/Pharma facilities.
• Strong knowledge of pre-design, pre-construction, building systems and contract management.
• Expert Construction Management in Civil, Structural and Architectural disciplines.
• Experience leading contractors and superintendents for current scope and drawings/specifications.
• Ability to manage CSA scopes from Bid Phase through Execution, turnover and closeout.
• Experience monitoring project budgets to meet requirements.

Responsibilities

• Hosts weekly meetings with Subcontractor and takes notes; aligns with Subcontract Administrator to circulate minutes.
• Ensures Subcontractor has latest drawings and specifications.
• Reviews RFIs and submittals for completeness before submission.
• Monitors RFIs/submittals and expedites with engineering disciplines as needed.
• Visits subcontractor fabrication shops to expedite material deliveries and verify progress.
• Coordinates material deliveries with Construction Management and field superintendent.
• Monitors subcontractor schedule and escalates issues with ACM and Subcontracts Administrator.
• Assesses changes, including identified but not priced, and processes into Unifier.
• Reviews and approves pay applications before ACM final approval.
