Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a Night Shift Machine Operator in the construction sector. You will operate plant machinery, follow safety policies, and assist with setup and maintenance to ensure a high-quality product.

Strong reading and math skills, basic computer familiarity, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required. A flexible schedule is needed to cover night shifts, with opportunities to support a diverse manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and measurements.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible schedule required.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule, or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance ensuring quality.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and meet deadlines.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area; perform other duties as needed.
