Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a Night Shift Machine Operator to run plant equipment and ensure safety and quality in our construction materials facility in Tampa, FL. You will read specifications, adjust machines, monitor output, and perform routine maintenance.

Candidates should be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work a flexible schedule. Proficiency with MS Word/Excel and basic math helps you succeed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or related experience.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions and manuals.
• Must be able to work independently and stay accurate.
• Basic math skills and ability to use measurements.
• Experience with MS Word/Excel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read job specs to determine machine adjustments and material needs.
• Set stops or guides to specified lengths using scales or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Review product quality and ensure it meets requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and meet deadlines.
• Maintain clean, orderly work area.
• Other duties as assigned.
