Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products, LLC in Middletown, OH is seeking a Night Shift Finish A Coater Operator to safely operate the roll coater in the Finish A room. You will set up the coater, monitor wet film thickness, viscosity, temperature, and roll speeds, and document paint usage in Oracle.

The role requires basic tool knowledge, attention to detail, and strong communication with Production and Quality Control to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic hand and power tool knowledge.
• Preferred: 6+ months of mobile equipment experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up the roll coater in Finish A room per shop orders and instructions.
• Measure and record painting parameters (wet film thickness, viscosity, temperature, roll speeds).
• Adjust coater as directed by QC Lab Tech and perform roll changes.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and proper documentation; input data into Oracle.
• Collaborate with Production and Quality Control to resolve issues and meet goals.
