BlueScope Coated Products, LLC in Middletown, OH is seeking a Night Shift Finish A Coater Operator to safely operate the roll coater in the Finish A room. You will set up the coater, monitor wet film thickness, viscosity, temperature, and roll speeds, and document paint usage in Oracle.

The role requires basic tool knowledge, attention to detail, and strong communication with Production and Quality Control to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic hand and power tool knowledge.
• Preferred: 6+ months of mobile equipment experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up the roll coater in Finish A room per shop orders and instructions.
• Measure and record painting parameters (wet film thickness, viscosity, temperature, roll speeds).
• Adjust coater as directed by QC Lab Tech and perform roll changes.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and proper documentation; input data into Oracle.
• Collaborate with Production and Quality Control to resolve issues and meet goals.

Night Shift 5:45p to 6a Monday through Thursday Shift Finish Coater A operator is responsible for the safe operation of the roll coater in the Finish A room. Finish A coater is a single head coater. Duties include setting up the Coater, measuring painting parameters (wet film thickness, viscosity, temperature, roll speeds), adjusting the Coater following direction from QC Lab Tech, performing roll changes, cleaning painting equipment, moving paint drums in and out of the coater room, measuring and documenting paint usage information, entering data into Oracle.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Works from shop order, schedules, and special instruction Responsible for keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition Responsible for understanding and complying with the fundamental principles associated with the Quality and Environmental Management System in place at BlueScope Communicates daily with internal personnel from Production and Quality Control to assist in resolving problems and achieving company goals *This position opening is for night shift only*.

Qualifications: Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent (GED) Knowledge of basic hand and power tools Signed off as a Coater Assistant or Prime Coater Operator Preferred: 6+ months of experience operating mobile equipment in a manufacturing environment.
