Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products, LLC in Ohio is seeking a Night Shift Finish Coater A operator to safely operate the roll coater in Finish A. You will set up the coater, monitor wet film thickness, viscosity, temperature, and roll speeds, and adjust according to QC guidance. You will also perform roll changes, clean equipment, and document paint usage in Oracle. Strong attention to quality and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required or preferred.
• Knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
• Signed off as a Coater Assistant or Prime Coater Operator (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate the Finish A roll coater and verify setup.
• Measure painting parameters (wet film thickness, viscosity, temperature, roll speeds).
• Adjust the Coater per direction from QC Lab Tech.
• Perform roll changes and clean painting equipment.
• Move paint drums and enter data into Oracle.
• Communicate daily with Production and Quality Control to resolve issues.
