Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation is seeking an N/C Turning Equipment Setup Relief Operator for 4th shift (Mon-Fri, 11pm-7am) with 60-90 days of training on 1st shift. The role involves setting up and operating CNC turning centers to produce forgings per customer specs, using a range of cutting tools.

Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years CNC operation and setup experience, strong reading and measurement skills, and a solid foundation in GD&T and blueprints.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years CNC operation experience.
• Five years minimum setup experience on horizontal or vertical turning centers.
• Basic reading, math, and measurement comprehension.
• Ability to read instructions and perform simple measurements is required.
• Completion of a Production Machine Operator Training Program or 3-5 years machinist experience.
• Experience with metal forgings.
• Experience cutting soft jaws.
• High school diploma or equivalent, Vo-Tech certificate, or Associate degree in electrical, mechanical, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC turning centers to machine forgings or stock per customer specs.
• Machine parts according to customer requirements using various tools.
• Utilize hand tools, gauges, and measurement instruments for accurate setups.
• Read blueprints and apply GD&T to ensure tolerances.
