Job summary

You will read G-code, manage tool offsets, and maintain tooling life, with focus on quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate has experience in setting up CNC lathes, understanding feeds and speeds, and performing basic programming edits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience setting up CNC lathe machines.
• Experience editing CNC machine programs and writing basic programs.
• Lean Manufacturing experience a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Lathes.
• Manage tooling life, adjust offsets, and modify programs as needed.
• Interpret blueprints to ensure parts are machined to specifications.
• Set up fixturing, cutting tools, and other support equipment.
• Compute feeds, speeds, and depths of cut.
• Read and modify CNC G-code and programming languages.
• Adjust CNC work offsets and tool offsets.
• Maintain machine preventive maintenance and cleanliness.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
