Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain, MA, is seeking a part-time Unit Secretary/CNA Assistant II for 7 North (Night shift, Per Diem). The role supports patient care operations with secretarial duties, patient flow coordination, and record management.

Responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling tests, maintaining records, coordinating discharges, and collaborating with the care team to ensure efficient unit operation and quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of an approved nursing assistant training program.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• HeartSaver CPR AED certification required.
• Ability to pass clinical competency and basic math testing.
• Ability to enter and retrieve computerized information.

Responsibilities

• Answer unit phones and coordinate patient tests and appointments.
• Maintain all patient medical records per hospital policies.
• Schedule admissions, transfers, discharges, and transport needs.
• Assist in patient care delivery and discharge planning as part of the care team.
• Provide back-up coverage for patient transport and bedside support.
