Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as a Nurse Aide I or with the applicable state Board of Nursing as a Nurse Aide II required.
• BLS certification required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supports patients/residents with activities of daily living.
• Assists patients/residents with personal hygiene.
• Takes vital signs and height and weight measurements.
• Feeds and ambulates patients according to procedures.
• Maintains patient/resident rooms in a clean and orderly condition.
• Observes and reports changes in patient conditions.
• Orients patients/families to unit and teaches safety measures.
• Assists with clerical work including answering phones, data entry and maintaining medical records.
• Maintains stock supply items in inventory management.
• Performs Nurse Aide I/II tasks as per state Boards of Nursing.
