Advocate Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patients on the Telemetry unit on the 5th floor. This full-time role is 36 hours per week with a 7a-7p schedule and pays $19.80–$29.70 per hour.

Essential duties include ADL support, hygiene assistance, vital signs, and basic clinical tasks. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, CPR/BLS certification, and registration as Nurse Aide I or II per state board guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as Nurse Aide I or with the applicable state Board of Nursing as Nurse Aide II.
• BLS certification required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supports patients with activities of daily living.
• Assists patients with personal hygiene.
• Takes vital signs and measurements.
• Feeds and ambulates patients according to procedures.
• Maintains patient rooms in a clean and orderly condition.
• Observes and reports changes in patient conditions.
• Instructs patients and families on safety measures.
• Performs clerical tasks including answering phones, data entry, and medical records upkeep.
• Maintains inventory of stock supplies.
• Performs Nurse Aide tasks including 12-Lead ECG and venipuncture.
