Job summary

Advocate Health in Milwaukee is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support the telemetry unit. You’ll assist with daily patient care, monitor vitals, and document in the EMR under RN supervision. The role requires attentive, patient-centered care during a night shift and rotation of weekends/holidays.

Applicants should have a GED or HS diploma, BLS certification within 45 days, and Nurse Aide registration. This full-time position offers competitive benefits, shift differentials, and opportunities

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
• Annual educational requirements for hospital-based certifications (e.g. DNV, CARF or others).

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation under supervision.
• Record blood pressures, vitals, I&O, daily weights in EMR as requested.
• Perform purposeful rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Participate in admissions/transfers/discharges under RN supervision.
• Collect urine, stool, and sputum specimens and perform point-of-care testing as indicated.
