Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to provide basic patient care in the 35218 High Point Medical Center – Medical Telemetry. This role supports licensed nurses, performs essential vital signs, daily living activities, and patient safety tasks in a 7am–7pm shift with two 12-hour shifts per week.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, completion of Nurse Aide I training, North Carolina NA I registration, and BLS certification. Total rewards and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of Nurse Aide I training program/competency evaluation.
• Nurse Aide I Registration with North Carolina DHHS.
• American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' condition and promptly report changes, abnormalities, or safety concerns to the licensed nurse.
• Obtain and document vital signs, heights, weights, intake/output, specimens, and other patient data.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, positioning, mobility, comfort.
• Support treatments and delegated nursing tasks, including glucose monitoring and catheter care.
• Provide one-on-one patient observation and maintain safety at all times.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and safe use of mobility equipment and lifts.
• Prepare meals, assist with feeding, monitor intake and hydration.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe patient care environment; stock supplies and change linens.
• Respond to call lights and patient requests promptly.
• Assist with pre/post-operative and other specialized care as directed.
• Collaborate with nurses and team; communicate during shift changes and support unit operations.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care and participate in required training and standards.
