Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, Missouri is hiring a Certified Nurse Assistant to support nursing staff with basic patient care during the night shift. You will assist with daily living activities, take vitals, and ensure patient comfort while reporting changes in condition.

The program includes a sign-on bonus, relocation support, and a career ladder. Preferred candidates have a High School diploma and Missouri CNA license with timely renewal.

Qualifications

• Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Prior patient care or health care related experience preferred
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days
• 3 months experience as a nursing assistant in an inpatient or long-term care setting, EMT, or Surgical Technologist in the past 3 years OR
• Completed an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program within the past 3 years OR
• Completed the "fundamentals of nursing" course with clinical in an accredited nursing program or practical nursing education program OR
• Must have Missouri CNA License OR MO CNA Appendix AND MO CNA license must be obtained within 120 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff
• Take vitals, bathe, dress, move patients, change linens and other duties as assigned
• Obtains information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff, and reports any changes in patient condition
