Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant for the Step Down Unit South in Springfield, MO. You will provide basic patient care under nursing supervision, including vitals, bathing, dressing, and linen changes on the night shift.

The position offers 36 hours weekly with a night shift schedule (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM). Education required: high school diploma or equivalent; MO CNA license is required or obtained within 120 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Education preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Missouri CNA license required or MO CNA Appendix; must be obtained within 120 days of hire.
• 3 months experience as a nursing assistant in inpatient or long-term care, EMT, or Surgical Technologist in past 3 years.
• Completed Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program within past 3 years or fundamentals of nursing course with clinical.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff.
• Take vitals, bathe, dress, move patients, change linens and other duties.
• Report changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
• Obtain information on patient condition as requested by nursing staff or clinical educator.
