Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Resident Care Associate to provide daily support to residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. You will assist with mobility, care plan implementation, and documentation while fostering a homelike, respectful environment.

Full-time positions offer comprehensive benefits and weekend availability. The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-focused care and teamwork with the Resident Care Director and staff.

Qualifications

• Direct-Care, PCA, or CNA certification required.
• Ability to fulfill both the physical and emotional needs of residents.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Upholds resident confidentiality.
• Flexible availability, including weekends.
• Demonstrates sincere compassion and genuine concern for seniors.
• Proficient in using basic office equipment, including personal computers.
• Aligns with Commonwealth Senior Living's mission of improving lives.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks and communicate with the Resident Care Director.
• Aid residents with mobility using proper techniques to prevent accidents.
• Make routine rounds to meet resident needs per care plan.
• Assist with lifts, moves, and transport using proper body mechanics.
• Maintain skin integrity through appropriate care and continence management.
• Document daily care activities per policy and standards.
• Report issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Respond to inquiries from residents, visitors, staff following policies.
• Know residents' care plans and provide tailored support.
• Contribute insights during care planning by sharing observations.
• Interact respectfully with residents, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Offer physical, emotional, and psychosocial support to residents and families.
• Adhere to residents' rights and report abuse or rights violations.
• Follow safety and infection-control procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Attend required trainings, in-service programs, and staff meetings.
• Maintain regular communication with the Resident Care Director.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.
