Job summary

Emerus Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Assistant/PCT/CNA for the night shift at our 18-bed small-format hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

The role provides support to the nursing process under an RN, performing indirect and direct patient care and related clerical tasks. Strong candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, current BLS, and CNA certification; 2 years in acute care is preferred. The facility emphasizes compassionate care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 2 years of work in an acute care hospital as a Nursing Assistant or enrolled in nursing program; preferred in Oklahoma.
• Ability to understand written instructions and perform basic math.
• Fluency in English with written and verbal communication.
• Act 33/Act 73 clearances completed within last 5 years or before start date (PA).

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced indirect and direct patient care under RN direction.
• Take vitals, blood glucose checks, perform EKGs and monitor intake/output.
• Assist with meals, mobility, transfers, and housekeeping; data entry and unit clerk duties.
• Ensure safe care adhering to policies within budget and time constraints.
