Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a nursing professional to join our post-acute care facility network in Pittsburgh. You will perform essential nursing duties, maintain patient records, and ensure safety and comfort. This role requires an active PA nursing license, CPR certification, and the ability to work with a compassionate team.

Shifts include day, evening, and overnight rotations with 8-hour schedules. PT/PRN opportunities are available within the PACS network, with equal opportunity employment

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered PA nursing license and in good standing.
• Ability to maintain continuing education requirements.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Clear background check—last 7 years reviewed.
• Active CPR certification (BLS preferred).
• Experience with Point Click Care is preferred.
• Compassion for residents and advocacy for patients.
• Understanding of Patient Rights.
• Must meet health requirements including a medical/physical exam.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition and ability to handle difficult residents.
• Must not pose a direct threat to health or safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned nursing tasks per established policies and supervisor instructions.
• Follow work assignments and schedules.
• Cooperate with inter-departmental staff to maintain nursing services.
• Notify the facility if you are late or absent.
• Check residents regularly to meet personal care needs.
• Answer resident calls promptly.
• Record resident food/fluid intake and report changes.
• Keep water pitchers clean and accessible to residents.
• Assist with after-meal care and related tasks.
• Greet residents and escort to their rooms.
• Identify residents with wristbands before treatments.
• Document changes in resident condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information.
• Report accidents and incidents promptly.
• Ensure rooms are ready for new admissions.
