Job summary

Intermountain Health in Grand Junction, Colorado is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team in Medical Oncology at St Mary's Hospital.

You will perform basic nursing tasks under supervision, document patient data, and assist with admissions and unit coordination as needed.

Qualified candidates hold a Colorado CNA and BLS, have good computer skills, and demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Colorado CNA certification and BLS certification are required at time of hire.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and basic computer literacy.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including hygiene, mobility, and comfort measures.
• Document and report patient data and condition changes promptly.
• Assist with telemetry as needed and coordinate with the care team.
• Transport medications and support health unit coordination tasks.
• Maintain unit records and supplies and participate in plan of care as delegated.
• Adhere to safety policies and respond to emergencies appropriately.
