Job summary

Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA, is seeking a CNA / Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Department. This 90% FTE night shift role focuses on direct patient care under the supervision of nursing staff, with patient transport and supply tasks in a fast-paced ED.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of ED tech or CNA experience in inpatient acute care or ICU, a WA State NAC license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as ED Tech or CNA in inpatient hospital acute care or ICU settings.
• High School graduation and six months experience involving customer service in a health care setting or six months experience involving direct patient care or equivalent education/experience.
• Must have a current, valid WA State NAC certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical and nursing staff by performing delegated tasks that involve direct patient care.
• Transport patients, supplies, and specimens.
• Order and stock supplies; maintain/setup of equipment.
• Participate in unit and departmental activities to promote problem solving and communication.
