Job summary

PeaceHealth in Sedro-Woolley, WA is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for a full-time 0.90 FTE night position. The role involves direct patient care under RN/Physician supervision in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient flow, taking vitals, procedure support, order entry, and potential float to OR or other departments. Requires CNA/MA/EMT credentials and BLS; benefits include comprehensive medical, retirement, PTO, and education reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Accredited program required for Medical Assistant or EMT.
• Minimum 1 year work experience as CNA/MA/EMT.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Ability to follow age-specific care principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff and care team with patient care (ambulance arrivals, triage, procedures, vitals, dressings).
• Observe patients and report changes to the team.
• Stock and maintain unit supplies and keep care areas clean.
• Perform clerical and communication tasks to support operations.
• Order entry and results retrieval in the computer system.
• May float to OR and/or Medical/Surgical/ICU departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
