Job summary

Overlake Hospital Medical Center is hiring an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) for our Bellevue Campus Emergency Department. The ED Tech provides direct patient care under RN supervision and may perform waived and moderately complex point-of-care testing.

Responsibilities include obtaining and transporting blood samples and other specimens, supporting the ED team in delivering compassionate care. Required WA licenses (NA-C/NA-R) or MA-P with must-obtain within 90 days; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• WA NA-C/NA-R or MA-P license upon hire.
• BLS for Health Care Providers required.
• 1+ year healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EKG preferred.
• Computer familiarity preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital equipment and record keeping.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Perform waived and moderately complex point-of-care testing as allowed by protocol.
• Obtain and transport blood samples and other specimens for testing.
