Job summary

University of Washington’s UW Medical Center-Northwest Emergency Department is seeking a Night Shift Registered Nurse for a 3x12 schedule (7:00pm–7:30am) with rotating weekends. Join a fast-paced ED with a 22-bed unit, dedicated to high-acuity care and rapid treatment in Seattle.

Responsibilities include triage, stabilization, vital sign monitoring and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to support trauma, cardiac, stroke, and behavioral health patients. WA RN license required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience in an Emergency Department.
• Active ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Current Washington State RN license.

Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients upon arrival.
• Stabilize patients with life-threatening injuries and illnesses.
• Monitor heart rate, blood pressure and other vital signs.
• Administer medications and fluids.
• Respond quickly to emergent issues.
• Collaborate with ED physicians, cardiac care professionals, social workers and paramedics.
• Support trauma, cardiac, stroke and behavioral health patients.
• Provide compassionate, individualized patient care.
