Job summary

Bethesda Health Group is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Memory Care, full-time night shift (10:45pm - 7:15am). The CNA will provide care and support to residents, assist with hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, and safety, while documenting routine observations for the Charge Nurse and ensuring accurate charting.

AS part of a larger caregiving team, you will respond to call lights, perform rounds, manage supplies, and participate in continuing education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Active Certified Nurse Assistant certification in the state you will be working.
• CPR certification, or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to interact verbally with patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care related support including hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, elimination, and safety as directed by Charge Nurse.
• Document appropriately into patient records.
• Record height, weight, and vital signs; orient new residents to facility and unit.
• Turn and reposition residents every 2 hours; assist with seating; monitor intake and output.
• Assist with procedures and treatments as instructed by Charge Nurse; maintain supplies and equipment.
