Job summary

Bethesda Health Group is hiring a Certified Nurse Assistant to provide patient care across nursing units in a long-term care setting. You will assist with hygiene, mobility, vital signs, and daily activities under the supervision of a Charge Nurse.

Responsibilities include accurate charting, responding to call lights, and participating in rounds. Strong communication, reliability, and physical stamina are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in the assigned state.
• High school diploma preferred.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain within six months of employment.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with patients, visitors and staff.
• Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift heavy objects with proper technique and assistance when needed.
• Ability to transfer/move patients weighing 200+ lbs with assistance.
• Ability to push/pull equipment over 40 lbs with proper technique.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care related to hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, elimination and safety per guidelines.
• Document accurately in patient records and report vital signs to the Charge Nurse.
• Complete rounds, respond to call lights promptly, and re-position residents as needed.
• Assist with admissions, provide orientation, and ensure proper patient identification and supplies.
• Maintain equipment, notify Charge Nurse of supply needs and adhere to safety protocols.
