Job summary

Bethel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide for night shifts from 10pm to 6am. You will assist residents with daily care, meals, and mobility while documenting care and maintaining privacy in a supportive environment.

The role emphasizes compassionate communication, collaboration with licensed nurses, and adherence to safety and infection control protocols to protect residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, unless working under a student permit.
• Certified by the Indiana State Department of Health as a CNA in good standing.
• Out‑of‑state CNAs may work up to 120 days while awaiting their Indiana certification.
• Basic computer skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, and related programs.
• Understanding of safe and effective nursing practices within the state of Indiana.
• Interpersonal skills: assisting licensed nurses with procedures within scope, following written and verbal instructions, working independently, exercising judgment, maintaining confidentiality, displaying patience, cheerfulness, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
• Ability to communicate resident condition information to appropriate staff members.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, skin care, grooming, nail care, and dressing needs.
• Feeding residents, providing bedside water, snacks, and transferring residents to and from dining areas in compliance with the nutritional plan of care.
• Answering resident call lights and responding to resident requests in a timely manner.
• Maintaining resident rooms by making beds, changing linens, cleaning bedside tables, and organizing personal belongings.
• Observing and reporting changes in resident’s appetite, skin condition or behaviors.
• Offering emotional support and actively listening to residents to build trust and support independence.
• Maintaining confidentiality of all resident care and protecting resident rights and privacy.
• Providing medical record documentation per facility policy.
• Complying with safety requirements, infection control measures, and maintaining a clean work environment.
