Job summary

Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join our Clinical Care Operations team. The role offers a night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 6:00pm to 6:30am, with a weekend/holiday rotation and shift differentials.

Ideal candidates are licensed CNAs or LNAs with at least 1 year of experience who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy collaborative nursing care across teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Current BLS certification required; CNA/LNA in state of practice for new hires.
• 1 year medical clerical experience; hospital/physician office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility; maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Collect patient data and vitals; document in medical records and communicate changes to caregivers.
• Perform procedures under licensed supervision; support staff with unit-specific procedures and orders.
• Maintain supplies and assist with ordering; manage equipment and files for the unit.
• Maintain complete patient records with admissions, transfers and discharges; ensure charting and forms are accessible.
• Support unit operations including transport of patients and OR turnover as needed.
• Work under supervision in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on customer service.
