Job summary

Banner Gateway Medical Center is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant on our Medical Surgical Float team for a full-time night shift (7pm–7:30am). You will float to multiple units, provide direct patient care, and support nursing staff.

Eligible candidates may receive an $3,000 sign-on bonus; night differential is 18% with $1/hour weekend differential where applicable. The role offers exposure to advanced EMR systems, patient monitoring, and growth opportunities within Banner Health's

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current CNA in state of practice is required for new hires.
• 1 year medical clerical experience preferred in hospital or physician office setting.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living to promote patient health and comfort.
• Record vital signs and other data; document in EHR and assist with specimen transport.
• Report changes in patient condition to licensed staff and ensure continuity of care.
• Perform delegated procedures and assist with routine clinical tasks.
• Provide receptionist/clerical support to ensure smooth unit operations.
• Maintain patient records, charts, and supply levels; assist with ordering supplies.
• Assist with patient transport and OR room turnover as needed.
• Work under supervision on assigned unit in a fast-paced hospital setting.
