Job summary

Banner Ocotillo Medical Center in Chandler, AZ, is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant for the Medical Surgical unit on the night shift (6pm–6:30am). The role includes assisting with daily living activities, vital signs, and documentation, with a focus on patient comfort and safety.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma/GED, BLS, and CNA licensure in state of practice. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available for licensed CNAs/LNAs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Current CNA licensure in state of practice is required for new hires.
• Requires skills and abilities typically attained with 1 year of medical clerical experience; proficiency with medical terminology and computer literacy.
• ECG or EEG interpretation course or on-the-job training is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and promote patient comfort.
• Collect vital signs and other patient data; document in medical records.
• Communicate changes in patient status to licensed professionals.
• Perform procedures and assist with unit-based tasks under supervision.
• Maintain patient records and ensure chart forms are accessible.
