Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Float Pool on the Night Shift. The role covers 12-hour nights, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with rotating weekends and holidays.

You will perform basic patient care under RN/LPN supervision, monitor vital signs, assist with ADLs, document intake/outtake, and report changes to nursing staff, while supporting quality care and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Handle with Care certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care tasks under RN/LPN, including vitals, glucose, intake/output.
• Assists with ADLs: bathing, grooming, eating, ambulation.
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Keeps patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care; works flexible shifts/units.
• Maintains regular, reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

High School diploma preferred
