Job summary

Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, KY is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for the Float Pool. This full-time role primarily covers the day shift (7a–7p) with scheduling variation by department.

You will perform direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assist with dressing, bathing, eating, and collect vital signs or non-invasive specimens. You will document interactions and support physicians and staff as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification from an accredited nursing assistant program required.
• SRNA License to practice in Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Assists patients with dressing, bathing, or eating.
• Collects non-invasive specimens or vital signs; does not start IVs.
• Aids physicians and nursing staff with procedures as needed.
• Documents patient interactions as needed.
• Relies on limited experience to plan and complete tasks.
• Performs a variety of tasks as required.
