Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff by taking vital signs, assisting with hygiene and elimination, and maintaining a clean and safe unit environment. You will also help stock supplies, operate equipment, and perform routine clerical tasks as directed.

Ideal candidates will have basic medical terminology knowledge, strong communication, and a willingness to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or enrolled in accredited nursing program with completion of at least 1 clinical semester.
• Demonstrated patient care experience, preferably in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Aid nursing staff by taking and recording vital signs.
• Assist patients with hygiene and elimination.
• Maintain a clean and safe unit environment, stock supplies, and operate hospital equipment as directed.
