Job summary

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must be able to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must read, write and speak English effectively.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or LVN or enrolled in accredited nursing program with at least 1 clinical semester.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate in a therapeutic manner.
• Prior patient care experience preferred in an acute care setting.
• Current BLS certification upon hire (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs.
• Assist patients with hygiene and elimination.
• Maintain a clean and safe unit environment.
• Stock unit supplies and operate hospital equipment as directed.
• Perform routine clerical tasks and assist with other duties as assigned.
