Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Syracuse, NE seeks a Nursing Assistant (CNA) for part-time night shifts. The NA provides resident-centered care and daily living assistance under the supervision of an RN, including transferring, range of motion, and per-care tasks.

Requires CNA certification and a high school diploma or GED; minimum age 16; prior long-term care experience preferred. Training and CEU requirements are supported by the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with State Board or in process of obtaining certification within four months.
• CNA training and certification provided by facility.
• Annual completion of 12 hours continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques.
• Assist with meals, dining, and hydration; maintain a positive dining experience.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Adhere to infection prevention policies and PPE usage.
• Support wellness programs and activities; assist with tasks as needed.
