Good Samaritan in Syracuse, Nebraska, is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in long-term care facilities during night shifts. This full-time role includes 40 weekly hours, 8-hour night shifts, and support under the supervision of a registered nurse, adhering to infection control and safety policies.

The CNA must be certified or pursuing certification, have or obtain State Board CNA credentials within four months, and complete annual competency testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• CNA certification with State Board or in process within four months of date into the position.
• Annual competency testing and 12 hours continuing education required.
• May require driver’s license and Sanford Driving Policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing and vital signs.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques.
• Support meals, dining, water, supplements and hydration.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Participate in wellness programs and organizational committees as needed.
