Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Auburn, NE, is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for a full-time day shift with 32 hours per week. The NA delivers resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision, including helping with mobility, meals, vital signs, and basic health needs.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or enrollment in certification process within four months.
• Completes yearly competency testing and maintains 12 hours CE per year.
• Possibly classified as Sanford Category II Driver depending on facility responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, ROM, and daily living activities.
• Assist with meals, dining, hydration, and nutritional support.
• Document resident interactions and report changes to charge nurse.
• Support wellness and recreational programs and participate in committees as needed.
