Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant for our Float Pool II. The role supports nursing care by performing vital signs and activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, with responsibilities across areas as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Maryland CNA license required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• One year of hospital experience with strong computer skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Follow care plans as established by the RN.
• Participate in department and organizational education programs.
• Ensure a culture of safety and proper equipment use.
• Assist in patient care coordination and report to the RN when needed.
• Maintain clean and properly stored work areas and supplies.
