Job summary

Banner Health seeks a Patient Care Assistant on the 3rd Floor Cardiac Progressive Care Unit in Sun City, AZ. You’ll provide routine patient care, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain patient records on a 24-bed telemetry unit.

Shift options include full-time nights with weekend rotations and a generous differential. Highlights include a $3,000 hiring bonus for new CNA hires, a $1/hour weekend differential, and an 18% night shift premium when applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Current CNA in state of practice is required for new hires.
• 1 year of medical clerical experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and contribute to the care plan.
• Collect vital signs, input/output and routine measurements; document in EMR.
• Report abnormalities to licensed professional and communicate status to caregivers.
• Assist with procedures, supplies and support for unit-specific tasks under supervision.
• Perform receptionist/clerical duties and support efficient department operations.
