Job summary

Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant (CNA/LNA) for the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU). The role supports a 60-bed unit focused on STEMI/NSTEMI, heart failure, and post-procedural cardiac care.

A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered for licensed CNAs or LNAs. The incumbent will work a DAY shift from 6:00am to 6:30pm, three shifts per week, with weekend/holiday rotation and differential pay for night shifts when applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Computer literacy required.
• Arizona-specific exclusions apply for certain Banner roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities and promote patient health.
• Collect vital signs and basic data; document in medical records.
• Report changes in patient health to licensed professionals.
• Perform procedures under supervision and assist with patient care tasks.
• Handle receptionist and clerical duties to support unit operations.
• Maintain supplies and equipment; monitor inventory and use of devices.
• Assist with patient transport and room turnover as needed.
• Contribute to a fast-paced patient-centered environment and teamwork.
