Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Aide I for 3 eight-hour? 12-hour shifts? This position supports patient care in a high-acuity setting at High Point Medical Center in the Nursing department. You will assist nurses, monitor patients, and document vital signs while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

The role requires completion of an approved Nurse Aide I program, state registry, and BLS certification, with weekend rotations and a sign-on bonus eligibility for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of an applicable state Board of Nursing Aide I training program/competency evaluation.
• Nurse Aide I Registration with the Division of Facility Services Nurse Aide I Registry.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients’ condition and promptly report changes to the licensed nurse.
• Document vital signs, heights, weights, intake/output, and other patient data.
• Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Support nursing tasks such as glucose monitoring, catheter care, heat/cold applications, and other non-sterile procedures.
• Provide one-on-one patient observation and maintain safety.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and safe use of mobility equipment.
• Prepare meals, assist feeding, monitor intake, and hydration requirements.
• Maintain clean, safe patient care environment and stock supplies.
