Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant in the Rehabilitation Unit to support nurses with patient care during the 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM shift, every other weekend. Certificate or GED/HSED plus Nurse Aide in good standing is expected. The position emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and adherence to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, hygiene, feeding, ambulation).
• Record vital signs and inputs/outputs; document in EMR.
• Perform rounds and communicate observations to RN.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge processes.
• Collect specimens and support nursing tasks as directed.
• Handle errands and stock nursing area; maintain equipment and cleanliness.
• Position patients and assist with mobility and transfers.
• Maintain skin care and assist with patient conditions as needed.
