Job summary

Affinis Hospice LLC in Georgia seeks a dedicated medication aide to administer physician-ordered medications and conduct point-of-care testing under clinical guidelines. This full-time night-shift role offers starting pay of $18.93 to $21.25 per hour, shift differentials, weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Georgia Certified Nursing Aide and Certified Medication Aide credentials.
• Proficiency with documentation of medications and patient records.

Responsibilities

• Administer physician-ordered oral, ophthalmic, topical, otic, nasal, vaginal and rectal medications.
• Administer insulin, epinephrine, and B12 per physician direction.
• Administer medications via metered dose inhaler.
• Conduct finger-stick blood glucose testing per guidelines.
• Document medication administration and any refusals per guidelines.
• Report unusual reactions to medication to the nurse, patient and family.
• Properly store and dispose of medications.
• Provide routine patient care (bathing, grooming, dressing) as needed.
• Complete dressing changes per physician orders and guidelines.
• Report changes to the licensed nurse as needed.
