Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nursing Aide in Georgia.
• Certified Medication Aide in Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Administer physician-ordered medications (oral, ophthalmic, topical, otic, nasal, vaginal, rectal) as directed.
• Administer insulin, epinephrine, and B12 per physician direction.
• Administer medications via metered dose inhaler as prescribed.
• Perform finger-stick blood glucose testing per guidelines.
• Document medication administration and declinations in resident records.
• Provide routine patient care (bathing, grooming, dressing) as needed.
• Report changes to the licensed nurse and document in the resident’s record.
