Job summary

Southern Health Partners, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) or CMA or Certified Medication Aide for a full-time night shift at Madison County Jail in Huntsville, Alabama.

The role runs 12-hour rotating shifts from 5:45 PM to 6:30 AM, including every other weekend, with night and weekend shift differentials and sign-on/retention bonuses. You will assist with intake, medications, exams, and EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or CMA or Medication Aide certification.
• Experience handling patient intake, vital signs, and medication administration.
• Proficient with electronic medical records and charting.
• Ability to work night shifts in a correctional healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient intake, assessments, and vital signs.
• Support medication administration within certification and regulations.
• Prepare patients for provider visits and treatments.
• Maintain accurate EMR and clinical documentation.
• Assist with medication passes and routine healthcare duties.
• Recognize and report changes in patient condition and urgent needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver quality care.
