Job summary

Southern Health Partners, Inc. is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA/CMA) or Certified Medication Aide for a full-time night shift at Madison County Jail in Huntsville, Alabama.

Work 12-hour rotating shifts from 5:45 PM to 6:30 AM, with every other weekend and a night/weekend differential. You will assist with intake, vital signs, medication administration within your scope, prepare patients for visits, and maintain EMR documentation in a structured correctional healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant or Medication Aide required.
• Valid CCMA, CMA or Medication Aide certification.
• Experience with clinical documentation and vital signs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient intake, assessments, and vital signs.
• Administer medications within your certification and regulations.
• Prepare patients for provider visits and examinations.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation.
• Support with medication passes and routine healthcare duties.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond to urgent needs.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver quality care.
