Job summary

Southern Health Partners is seeking a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), CMA, or CMAA to join our full-time night-shift team at Madison County Jail in Huntsville, Alabama.

You will work 12-hour rotating shifts from 5:45 PM to 6:30 AM, including every other weekend, with night and weekend shift differential. A sign-on and retention bonus is available.

This role provides meaningful patient care in a structured correctional health setting while building essential clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent certification (CCMA, CMA, CMAA) required.
• Ability to work night shift in a correctional health setting.
• Must be able to perform clinical tasks within certification scope and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient intake, vitals, and assessments.
• Administer medications within certification scope and regulations.
• Prepare patients for provider visits, examinations, and treatments.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation.
• Support with medication passes and routine healthcare duties.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
