Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in verbal and written English language.
• Capability to develop computer skills if not competent.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, as well as procurement of equipment and supplies.
• Critically reviews patient care documentation making note of any significant changes in the patient's condition and report to a nurse/physician.
• Performs clerical tasks: organize workload, greet visitors, research information, review and revise orders, answer calls, transcribe orders, maintain medical records, and support PI audits and data entry.
• Provide clinical support: clean work area, maintain equipment, troubleshoot software/hardware, change linens, check inventory, transport patients/supplies/specimens, orient new staff and students.
• Provide direct personal care per plan: bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulation, measure vital signs, collect specimens, wound care, ROM exercises, etc.
• Reinforce patient education and distribute materials as requested.
